February was decent, could have been better though. Had a 90 Buy in downswing at the start of the month where I ran awful and a 70 buy in downswing at the end of the month but that's expected I guess when the SnGs are Super Turbos and are full of regs. Anyway, there were some pretty good bonuses on offer which made up for the downswings.

So I've made a pretty decent start on my target of 100k for the year. I hope to be able to get at least halfway by June as our 3rd child will be born then. I'd like to be able to take a couple of months from poker when the baby comes.

In other poker news I have signed up to HUSNG.com to try and improve my HU part of my game, Watched a couple of vids by Mersenneary so far and they seem pretty good. I'm gonna try and play about 500 HU sngs per month starting at the 5$ or 10$ level, working my way up once I've beaten each level for 100 Buy Ins, so I'll see how that goes.

Away from poker, I've been taking my daughter to swimming lessons at the local swimming pool. She has been doing amazingly well at the swimming and has been moved up from the seahorses to the turtles. She's pretty chuffed with that and it's good for me too as I get some time away from the PC and some exercise in the big pool while she has her lessons.

Big game tonight with Celtic Playing Rangers again! Hopefully the Bhoys can get another win as good as the last game as that was pretty sweeeet. Let's gogogogogogogooo :)

Results Update

Haven't updated for ages so I'd though I'd just fill in the details for 2010 results.

Never really played much in July and August after I moved from Dublin to Glasgow in July 2010. Then the following months were spent building up the bankroll to get back to the mid-stake sngs.

July 2010: +250$
August 2010: +230$
September 2010: +1100$
October 2010: +2500$
November 2010: +10800$
December 2010: +1500$

2010 Total: +46k

Fairly happy with this result seeing that I was working for the first 6 months of 2010. Hoping to improve on this figure in 2011 though. Target for 2011 is 100k for the year.

January 2011: +12500$

I broke all sorts of personal records this month:

Biggest winning day: +1.6k
Highest number of SnGs in a day: 346
Worst month ever pre-bonuses and rakeback: -3.9k
Largest winning month including rakeback and bonuses: 10.2k$ (my first 5 figure month, yay!)

Obviously, I'm pretty happy with the month. I played 2152 SnGs which was an equal split of Super Turbos, Turbo DoNs and Jackpot SnGs. With the rake on these you are never going to expect a long term positive ROI 9 tabling these, especially at the 55$ SnGs and above. The rake on the super turbos is ridiculous, 10% rake for a SnG which last on average 9 minutes is really taking the piss, especially when compared the rake on the super turbos at Full Tilt (4% at the equivalent level). Jackpot SnGs are raked at 18% and the turbo DoNs are raked at 10%. I broke even on the Super Turbos and Jackpots but sustained heavy losses on the DoNs in the first half of the month.

April results

April was a bit of a mix, on the whole I'm pleased with the results but disappointed with the last half of the month where i ran like a sausage, tilted and played bad. However, 6.6k for the month makes it my best month to date for grinding sngs. Hopefully, Ill eventually have that elusive 10k month this year. Really thought it would be this month but oh well, guess I can't really complain!

February Results

Well, after my last update I have not played a great deal. Due to work and then going on Holiday for a week I didn't get many games in Week 2 and Week 3 of the DoN promo and then after getting back from holiday I just didn't feel like grinding so I took a break. I don't think I've put enough games to reach the bottom of the leaderboard prizes for week 4, but I may just sneak in, we'll see..

Anyway, The results I was pretty pleased with especially seeing that I had never played any DoNs before mid January and it was nice to run hot for a change.
